Your pet’s care does not stop once we have completed the surgery!
We know as a pet owner you will have questions after your pet’s procedure. These may include “when can he eat?”, “should I exercise her?” and “when do the stitches come out?”. Rest assured we are here to answer these and any other questions you may have.
Upon completion of surgery we will contact you with an update on how your pet is after their procedure. Depending on what has been done this may be your veterinarian or it may be one of our experienced veterinary nurses that calls you. At this time or when more suitable we will organise a time for you to come and collect your pet.
At this appointment one of our staff will once again go through what to expect from your pet after their procedure, explain any medications or special instructions, answer any questions you may have and make any recheck appointments that are required.
A detailed and customised surgery report will also be provided that reinforces everything we have done and what our post-operative recommendations are. This is a very handy reference point should you have any questions when you get home or need to explain anything to other family members.
