We have all heard the saying “prevention is better than cure”! No truer word has been spoken when it comes to dental disease in our pets.
Preventing dental problems developing in the first place is one of the many things we can do to ensure our pets live a long and healthy life. Thankfully there are many options available to achieve this and our staff are all trained and experienced in giving the right advice for your pet.
As an example, there are specific pet foods designed to aid in cleaning teeth. Our staff can ensure your pet is on the correct diet and receiving the correct amount of food to keep their teeth pearly white and smelling fresh.
In addition to foods there are a vast range of dental treats, chews and other items that can be used. Unfortunately, many of the items available through supermarkets and pet shops that are marketed as being good for pets’ teeth are in fact not! Often there is no scientific testing to back up the claims of their effectiveness. Choosing the right product is vital and we are here to help.
